Stella Perea, age 73, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, was called to be with the Lord, Monday, October 6, 2008. She was a resident of Rio Rancho and a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church. Mrs. Perea is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Dr. Jose A. Perea of the family home; her wonderful children, Lorraine Valdez and husband Felix of Bernalillo, NM, Richard Perea and wife Masako of Miami, FL, Anna Schneider and husband Fritz of Rio Rancho, NM, James Perea and wife Maria of Las Vegas, NM, Cynthia McRae and husband David of Albuquerque, NM, Deborah Swift and husband Mark of Sierra Vista, NM; 17 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her brother, Erminio Gonzales and wife Valeria of Vaughn, NM; and many other family members and friends. Stella will be greatly missed by her loving family and by those whose hearts she touched. Visitations will be Thursday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services-Alameda Mortuary, where a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 12:00 noon at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Bernalillo, NM. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. Pall Bearers will be, Michael Perea, Arturo Valdez, Jeffrey Schneider, Kurt Schneider, Raul Lopez, David McRae, and Kyle Swift. Honorary Bearers will be her loving granddaughters, Margaret Navarrette, Marea Perea, Nancy Perea, Emiko Perea, Risa Perea, Amada Perea, Stephanie Schneider, Brianna Schneider, Athena Perea, and Erica Martinez.
