Marian Peterson passed away on September 22, 2008. She was born in Beloit, WI, on November 18, 1917, the youngest daughter of George and Inga Holmbeck. She was a lifelong member of the Lutheran Church and very active in the communities where she lived, both in Wisconsin and Harlingen, TX. She worked on behalf of the elderly and homeless, and tutored elementary school children. She is survived by her husband Merlin; son Les; and his wife Jackie. Her daughter, Maxine and grandchildren, Jacquelyn and Bradley, preceded her. She has two grandchildren, Shawn and Amanda, and one great-grandchild, Ena Lucia. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 p.m., on October 4, 2008 at Cross of Hope Lutheran Church located at 6104 Taylor Ranch Road.
