Lisa Diane Peeples Kaswell, 47, of Tijeras, NM, died September 29, 2008 after an illness. She is survived by her husband, Jim Kaswell of Tijeras; her mother and stepfather, Pat and Warren Johnson of Beaumont, TX; her sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Mike Reed of Tijeras; her nephew, John Reed of Amarillo, TX; a stepsister, Cindy Beall of Beaumont, TX; two stepbrothers, Sam Johnson of Plano, TX and Tim Johnson of Haslet, TX; her uncle Dean Young and wife Delena of Fort Towson, OK; her uncle Melvin Peeples and wife Betty of Austin, TX and numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Peeples; and two brothers, John Kent Peeples and James Peeples. Lisa was born January 14, 1961 in Pampa, TX to Kenneth and Pat Peeples, and lived there until moving to Beaumont in 1975. She and Jim Kaswell of Beaumont were married in 1990 and moved to Tijeras shortly thereafter. Lisa loved to read and was an avid Cowboys fan. She was a very special person and will be missed by all who knew her. A Memorial Service will be held at the First Baptist Church of Tijeras on Saturday, October 4, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Rod Compton and Rev. Dean Young officiating. Her family would like to thank the doctors and nurses in ICU and SAC units at UNM hospital for their tireless efforts to save Lisa's life.
