Obituary for PARUTA

Jaunita R. Paruta, 93, went to the Lord on Tuesday, September 23, 2008. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Joseph and her daughter, Betty. Jaunita was born in Winfield, KS to Mary Olive and Elbridge Williams. She was the youngest of eight children. The Paruta's moved to Albuquerque in 1949. For nearly 20 years, Jaunita was a cashier for Barber's Supermarket and later Foodway Stores. She then became a military cashier at Kirtland for nine years. Jaunita enjoyed reading, sewing clothes for herself and her daughter, quilting, crocheting, traveling and going to craft shows with her daughter. She loved her family very much and will be greatly missed. She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Church and a member of the Women's Guild. The family wishes to thank friends, Compassion Plus Home Care (Laura, Lucy and Kim), and Odyssey Hospice for their kindness and support. A Rosary will be recited on Sunday, September 28, 2008, 4:00 p.m., at French Mortuary 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE. Mass will be held Monday, September 29, 2008, 10:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Fatima, 4020 Lomas Blvd. NE. Burial to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
