Edna Wells Meintzer, age 85, a resident of Albuquerque, NM and recently of Jarales, NM, passed away on Tuesday, September 23, 2008. She was a dedicated member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Los Lunas and Albuquerque, NM. Edna retired from the Albuquerque Public Schools after 27 years of devoted service. She was always a loving and helpful mother and grandmother who cherished her family and friends and will be deeply missed by all. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank David Meintzer of Albuquerque; mother, Grace (Sweat) Wells; father, Roland Wells and two sisters, Frances Wilson and Dolores Barrs all of Georgia. Edna is survived by her son, Arthur D. Meintzer of Albuquerque; son, Eddie R. Meintzer and wife, Diana of Los Lunas; daughter, Grace M. Jaramillo and husband, Jerry of Jarales; eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Services were held on Friday, September 26, 2008 at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, in Los Lunas with Pastor Rodel Liwanag officiating.
