Obituary for DEPOY

Wynoa (Whitey) B. Depoy, 88, a resident of Albuquerque since 1948, died Thursday September 25, 2008. He is survived by his sons, Rodney B. Depoy and wife, Jennifer and Jerry Depoy and wife Linda, all of Albuquerque; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers, Darold Depoy and Jack Depoy and wife, Irene; and other relatives and friends. Whitey was preceded in death by his wife, Esther Marie Depoy; son, Dennis Depoy; sisters, Juanita and Eloise; and brother, Junior. He was born on February 4, 1920 to Harry and Wealtha Powell Depoy. Whitey proudly served in the Army Air Corps during WWII. After moving to Albuquerque he worked as a mechanic for Jones Service Station and later for Southern Union Gas Company until his retirement. Whitey loved to fish, play his guitar, and spend time with his family. He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Graveside Service will be held at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 7999 Wyoming Blvd. NE, Tuesday, September 30, 2008, at 1:30 pm.
