Carol Rosalie Spencer, 70, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, died Friday, September 19, 2008 in her home. She is survived by four children, Robert Spencer and wife, Laura of Bloomfield, NM, Dennis Spencer of Albuquerque, Wendy Spencer of Albuquerque, and Susan Brace and husband, Robert of Los Lunas; ten grandchildren and one great-grandbaby; one sister, Joan Ellis and husband, Richard of Hereford, TX; two brothers, John Goats and wife, Trish of Pemberton, British Columbia. and Henry Lee Goats Jr. and wife, Louise of Hope, British Columbia; plus many nieces, nephews, friends, and her beloved dog, Miss Rosie. Carol started work at Sandia National Laboratories in 1974 and retired in 2003. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Carol was preceded in death by her mother, Rosalie McMorris; and father, Henry Lee Goats Sr. Services will be held Thursday, September 25, 2008, at 10:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel.
