Alicia Ramirez Villegas passed away September 19, 2008 after a lengthy illness. She was a resident of Albuquerque for over 40 years. Mrs. Villegas was a well known hair stylist for over 30 years and owner of Alicia's Restaurant on Broadway SE for 13 years. She was a life time member of San Jose Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her brother Vicente Ramirez, her mother Antonia Ramirez, sister in law Fanny Ramirez, brothers Tony and Luis Ramirez, her sister Maria Ramirez, and her father Antonio Ramirez. Mrs. Villegas is survived by her husband of 36 years Javier Villegas, a very special niece who was like a daughter to her Margarita and husband Gilbert, step-son Jose and wife Shirley, step son Frank and wife Rebecca and step daughter Ermelinda and husband Hugo Vargas. Numerous grandchildren, great grand children, nieces, nephews and was blessed with many God Children. Rosary will be recited Tuesday September 23 at 7:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Church. Funeral mass will take place Wednesday September 24 at 9:00 a.m. also at Sacred Heart Church. Interment will take place immediately following at Mt. Calvary on Edith. Pallbearers are Adam Candelaria, Jose Alfredo Villegas, Gilbert Sanchez, Genaro Villegas, Michael Ramirez,and Jose (Pepe) Villegas.
