Obituary for YOUNGBLOOD

Boyce O. Youngblood, age 84, a resident of Belen, passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2008 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. Boyce was born in Seagraves, TX and lived in Lincoln, Catron, Socorro and Valencia Counties, NM. He graduated from Socorro High School in 1942. Boyce was also an active member of the First Baptist Church of Los Chavez. Boyce is survived by his wife, Mayme Youngblood; children, Jim E. Youngblood and wife, Angeta of Bremerton, WA, Les Youngblood and wife, Lynn of Seattle, Wa, Barry Youngblood and wife, Chris of Bend, OR; stepdaughter, Margarete Smith and husband, Melvin of Belen; stepsons, Tommy Snell and wife, Sharon of Carlsbad, Billy Snell and wife, Roxy of Palm Springs, CA, Gary Snell and wife, Rue of Monte Vista, CO, Jimmie Snell and wife, Gay of Los Lunas and Buddy Snell of Houston, TX. Also surviving are 21 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. All services will be held at the First Baptist Church of Los Chavez on Monday, September 15, 2008 beginning with a viewing at 10:00 a.m., followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Boyd Morerod officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Terrace Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Melvin Smith, Billy Smith, Ronnie Smith, Matthew Snell, Gary Snell, and Buddy Snell. Honorary pallbearers will be A.R. "Tacho" and Myrna Luna, George Chavez and Zeke Jaramillo. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the First Baptist Church of Los Chavez, 09 Los Chavez Park, Los Lunas, NM 87031.
