Marilo Greene Squire - Our beloved Marilo died peacefully in her home on Saturday, September 6, 2008. Marilo Greene Squire was born on Friday, July 8, 1921 in Clarinda, IA to Orville and Edith Greene. She attended Iowa State University and eloped in 1940 with her cherished husband, Bill Squire. Marilo had a rich and interesting life, full of friends, family, dogs and volunteerism. She grew up dancing and went on to teach ballet. Marilo studied yoga and metaphysics throughout her life, and became known as an expert in both fields. She was loved for her sharp mind, her quick wit, and her loyalty to friends and family. Marilo never met a dog she didn't love, and she enjoyed her nightly martini until the end. She was devoted to her church as well as to her PEO Chapter AL. Marilo also served as president of the New Mexico State Chapter of PEO. She was proud of her Irish heritage and treasured the sound of bagpipes, especially when piped by her son, Bruce. Marilo is survived and dearly missed by her husband, Bill; her daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Dennis Falk; and her son and daughter-in-law, Bruce and Christina Squire. Missing their grandmother are grandchildren, Marnie Kern, Charles Squire, Andrew Squire and Adam Squire; and great-grandchildren, Parker Abell, Charlie Kern, and William Squire. Welcoming her grandmother is the late Libby Falk. Also missing Marilo is our wonderful friend, Sharon Mussmann. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, September 15, 2008, 11:00 a.m. at Central United Methodist Church, 1615 Copper Ave. N.E. 87106, Albuquerque, New Mexico.
