Julian Saiz, 81, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, was reunited with the Lord on September 11, 2008. Julian worked for Sandia Base for 28 years. He was a member of the American Legion Post 69, the DAV, the VFW, as well as the North Valley Senior Center and the Alameda Society. Julian is survived by his wife, Vijes Saiz; son, Ben Saiz; daughter, Juliet Marquez and husband, Frank; brothers, Gilbert Saiz and wife, Mercedes, and Arthur Saiz and wife, Elsie; sisters, Cecilia Garcia, Rose Parknaven, and Lilian Dimas; grandchildren, Jon-Paul Marquez, Anthony Marquez and wife, Skye, and Andrew Marquez; and great-grandchildren, Joseph, Angel, Julian, Joshua and Francisco Marquez. He will be deeply missed by all of his family and friends. Services for Julian will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2008 at the San Isidro Catholic Church in Corrales. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m., followed by the recitation of the Rosary at 9:30 a.m. and Celebration of the Mass at 10:00 a.m. Pallbearers will be Anthony Marquez, Andrew Marquez, Levi Carriaga, Ben Abeyta, Louie Garcia and Joseph Gutierrez.
