Robert George Meserschmidt a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend passed away on August 15, 2008. Born in Omaha, NE on June 5, 1923. One of eight children. Served as a signalman in the Navy from 1941-1945 on the U.S. S. Bunker Hill. Graduated from Creighton University. Married Frances Pechac July 1, 1949. Worked as a casualty property manager for Travelers Ins. for 35 years in Colorado. Retired to New Mexico to play golf. Lived in Rio Rancho 27 years. Survived by his wife of 59 years, Frances. Daughter Susan-Michael Sharp of Northridge, CA Daughter Sandra-Michael Lay of Denver, CO. Daughter Lori-Kirk Ward of Rio Rancho. Son Mark- Sheila Meserschmidt of Sumner, WA. Grandchildren, Aaron Bacon, Cody, Chelsea, And Remi Ward, Calin and Stephen Meserschmidt and Chris Lay. Sisters Alma Bare and Helen Casey. Brother Charles Meserschmidt and many nieces and nephews. Dad, we will miss your wisdom, unconditional love, and guidance. You were a good provider, a man of integrity and we will always cherish our memories of you. Grandpa, thank you for handing down your passion for golf, we will carry the bag now. Services will be held at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE at 2:30 pm on Wednesday, August 20, 2008.
