Lawrence Gulliford Sr. was born on December 22, 1935 in Great Bend, KS and departed from this earth to be with the Lord on August 14, 2008. He was joined in holy wedlock to Linda Kay Rogers on September 1956, in Gary, IN. This union was blessed with one son and three daughters. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lazelle and Virginia; maternal grandparents, W D and Callie Thompson and; paternal grandparents, Charles Guliford and Lizzie Baugh; and one brother; and one sister. He leaves to mourn his loss, his son Lawrence Udell Guliford Jr. and wife Edna of Gallup, NM; daughters, Bernadette Marie Goethe and husband Rodney of Rincon, Georgia; Karen Lawrence and husband Larry of Oklahoma City, OK and Odette Rene' Guliford of Albuquerque. He also leaves seven brothers, Lazzelle Guliford and wife Jean of Topeka, KS, Ernest Alvin Guliford and wife Mary of Albuquerque, Edward Dale Guliford and wife Ruthie, Ramon Levan Guliford and wife Billye both of Manhattan, KS, Alonzo Dean Guliford and wife Stella of Omaha, NE, Sheldon Charles and Kevin Lee Guliford of Wichita, KS; five sisters, Eleanor Danies, Wilma Richardson, Saxie Guliford and Toni Vereen and husband Lamar all of Topeka, KS, Lana Thompson of Wichita, KS; and eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends. Services will be Saturday, August 23, 2008, 10:00 a.m., at Power House Church, 316 63th St. and Churchill SW with Burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, 924 Menaul Blvd NE.
