Obituary for ANDERSON

Richard Milles Anderson, 86, born in Oak Park, IL in 1922 and a resident of Chicago, IL, Elyria, OH and Albuquerque, died Thursday, August 14, 2008. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothea Ellen (Armstrong) Anderson in 2005. He is survived by his daughters Claudia and Linda, son David of Chicago, Denver, and New York respectively; brother, Luther Anderson of Hinsdale, IL; and nieces, Betty Hostetler of Elmhurst, IL and Lynn Hoth of Albuquerque. Richard served in the 14th Armored division during WW II. He was a graduate of Oak Park High where he lettered in Varsity track, and a graduate of the University of Illinois in 1948 where he was a member of the Alpha Kappa Lambda fraternity. He was a Mechanical Engineer in cooling with Luxaire and York in Elyria, OH. A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, August 19, 2008, at 2:30 p.m., at the Clubhouse of The Albuquerque Meadows, 7112 Pan American Fwy NE, where he lived for 20 years beginning July, 1988.
