Jose (Bernie) Serna, 57, resident of Albuquerque, passed away Saturday, August 9, 2008 after a long illness. He is survived by two daughters, Orlena Serna and significant other Cecil Westervelt, Mary Ruth Serna and fiancee Steven Harmon of Albuquerque, Linda Serna of Albuquerque; one grandchild, Jacob Harmon of Albuquerque; one brother, Fred Serna; three sisters, Mary C. Serna, Rosario Nieto and husband Eddie, and Marie Serna, also numerous nieces and nephews. Bernie was born and raised in Albuquerque, a graduate of Valley High School and recently retired from Creamland Dairies. He was the number one St. Louis Rams fan. He loved family barbecues and gatherings, his music, gardening (especially his roses) and bowling.
