Gus B. Goumeneas, 87, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Monday, July 28, 2008. He is survived by his sister, Anna Brouzetou of Greece; sisters-in-law, Dora Trujillo, Grace Lucero and husband, Paul all of Albuquerque; many nieces and nephews; and friends, Rudy Espinosa, Tasso Chronis, Spiro Anagnostou. Gus was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Mary. He was a Merchant Marine and the Greek Navy during WWII. Gus was member of St George Greek Orthodox Church and also a member of AHEPA 501. Trisagion will be held Wednesday, July 30, 2008, 7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel. Services will be held Thursday, July 31, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 308 High St SE 87102. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
