Myriam Louise Chavez, 82, a resident of Albuquerque since 1983 died July 27, 2008. She is survived by her son, David of San Diego; daughter, Elisa of Brooklyn; five grandchildren and countlessfriends. Born and raised in Arkansas, she lived for a while in Oklahoma and Colorado, plus many years in Venezuela, Colombia, and Saudi Arabia. After the loss of her husband, Joseph Ralph, Myriam chose Albuquerque as the base from which to embark upon her second life. Myriam had two true passions, art history and Kundalini yoga. She traveled extensively throughout Europe in pursuit of the first, and spent years in New Mexico perfecting the second. A yoga teacher for the last six years of her life, Myriam was a true inspiration to all who knew her. A Memorial Service will be held 12 noon on Friday August 1, 2008 at the Albuquerque Center for Spiritual Living, 2801 Louisiana Blvd. NE.
