Obituary for SCHREIBER

Published in the Albuquerque Journal on Sunday July 27, 2008

Jean Anne Schreiber, Wife, Mom, and Grandmother passed away on July 26, 2008 at home. Jean was loved and respected by all who knew her. She was always admired for her dignity, poise, grace, and character. She was a friend, counselor, advisor, and a role model. Jean was born on December 25, 1938. Yes, a Christmas baby and a true gift to all who were touched by her. Jean was a manicurist and pedicurist for over 30 years and was loved by all her clients and work mates. Jean raised four beautiful daughters, and seeing and knowing them now, we all know she did an outstanding job. They are all now successful women in their own right. Late in life, Jean returned to her art work, something she loved. All who have seen her work know what a talented artist she became. She was a member of the Rio Rancho Art Association for many years and her works were displayed throughout the City. Jean is survived by her husband, Sheldon Schreiber; her four daughters and their families, Corrine Helenius and Dave Berghoff of Palm Desert, CA, Kathy and Allen Wallach and their children Caitie and Tai of Fairport, NY, Eileen and Jeff Haynes of Old Forge, NY, Doreen and Greg Eppy and their children Joseph and Amanda of Key West, FL; and her two stepdaughters and their families, Shana Schreiber and her fiance, Jonathan White of Houston, TX, Shena and Eric Anderson and their daughter Madison of Austin, TX. Although Jean is no longer physically here, we are sure that she is watching over all of us from on high with loving care, and keeping an eye out to make sure we are safe, happy, and behaving ourselves. Per Jean's wishes, in lieu of flowers, please send any donations to the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund by mail at 14 Pennsylvania Plaza Suite 1400, New York, NY 10122 or online at ocrf.org. Funeral Services will be at Vista Verde Cemetery in Rio Rancho at 9:00 a.m. on Friday August 1, 2008.
