Michael Ernest Chavez, 47, beloved life partner, son, brother, uncle and friend passed away Saturday, July 19, 2008. He was born on Thursday, July 6, 1961 in Albuquerque, NM. Michael was a gifted educator who touched the lives of many children and adults in the Albuquerque Public Schools. He was loved for his huge smile and sense of humor. Michael was everyone's favorite dance partner and an accomplished artist. He is survived by his life partner, Kenneth Broussard; parents, Frank and Ruth Chavez; brother, Craig Chavez and wife, Venita; sister, Janice Chavez-Romero and husband, John; and his nieces and nephews, Allison, John-Michael, Krista, Jessica, Luc and Elise. A Memorial Prayer Service will be held Wednesday, July 23, 2008, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel.
