Delbert "Del" Leon Rea, 66, of Edgewood, NM passed away on Friday, July 11, 2008 in Albuquerque, NM. Del was born on August 9, 1941 in Plainview., TX to Claude E. and E. Merle (Henry) Rea. Del married Margaret "Maggie" Ann Sirginous on June 3, 1989; he was a lifetime member of the NRA, the Bighorn Gun Club, Firearms Engravers Guild of America, past member of the New Mexico Mounted Patrol and was a past commissioner of Edgewood Planning and Zoning Committee. He was preceded in death by his mother, Merle Rea; brother, Danny Rea; and dog, Molly Rea. Del is survived by his father, Claude Rea; wife, Margaret "Maggie" Rea of Edgewood, NM; son, Jonathan Rea of Lewisville, TX; step son, Christopher Atwood, of Kansas City, MO; daughters, Julie Rea; of Sanger, TX; Jerri Cordeiro and husband Mike of Sanger, TX; Amanda Rea of Las Cruces, NM; nine grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and friends; and dear friends, Larry and Pat Browning. A Viewing will be held on Tuesday, July 15, 2008 at the Harris-Hanlon Mortuary Chapel in Moriarty, NM from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A Graveside Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at 2:00 PM at the Memory Garden Cemetery in Randall, TX. Pallbearers are Larry Browning, Buddy Sandoval, David Knight, Kyle Perea, Shane Miller, Trevor Rea and Sterling Rea.
