Phyllis Taylor Marberry, 81, born Monday May 16, 1927 in Albuquerque, NM, to George and Dorothy Taylor, died Tuesday, July 2, 2008. She is survived by her beloved three children David Marberry and wife, Nancy, Phillip Marberry and wife, Karen, Ellen Marberry and Dwayne; six grandchildren, Justin Bramhall, Emily and Gregory Marberry, Melissa and Jennifer Marberry, Tiffany Jones; four great-grandchildren, Taylor, Trace, Kimberlynn and Justin, Jr.; and her beloved dog, Tang. She was preceded in death by her brother, George. Phyllis retired from UNM Continuing Education, became a realtor, which she retired from in 2004. She was an active community volunteer for many years including, being a Girl Scout leader for seven years, serving on the board of United Way, and several other community boards. Phyllis also served as director of the Arts and Crafts Fair the last year it was held in Old Town. She graduated from Albuquerque High School and attended UNM. Phyllis was a member of Chapter V PEO, Junior League, and the Albuquerque Tennis Club. She was an avid tennis player, enjoyed gardening, bridge, reading, arts and crafts, and walking Tang at Altura Park. If you care to make memory donations, please send to Cottey College, 1000 W.
