Mary Lou Hays, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, went home to be with our Lord on Friday, July 4, 2008. She is survived by her son, Gerald Heise and wife Betty of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Michael Heise of St. Paul, MN and Susie Fitzgerald and husband Daniel of Winston-Salem, NC; brother, Jeff Hays of Evansville, IN. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister and brother. Mary Lou was a successful water rights broker in the Albuquerque area. She had a special love for animals, especially cats. She was charitable to many organizations including Native American missions and the Roman Catholic ministries. A Memorial Rosary will be recited on Tuesday, July 8, 2008 at 4:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, University Chapel. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1860 Griegos NW.
