Dorothy Quin Clark; Born on February 1, 1929 in Denver, CO passed away in Rio Rancho, NM on July 2, 2008. Dorothy was the daughter of Robert and Inez Quin, and the wife of Clarence O. Clark. Dorothy grew up in Cheyenne, WY and graduated from Cheyenne High School in 1947. Dorothy attended the University of Wyoming for two years, and then married Clarence Clark, who was stationed at the Air Force Base in Cheyenne. Dorothy and her family traveled to Europe twice, and after 26 years of serving in the Air Force, made Albuquerque their home. Dorothy was the mother to two daughters, Colleen Clark Trout (husband: Steve Trout) and Cindy Clark-Thompson (husband: Jeff Thompson); and the grandmother to Aaron James Forrester (wife: Alison Forrester), Scott Clark Forrester (wife: Alissa Forrester), and Jackie Clark Trout. In addition, Dorothy is survived by her sister, Jo Ann Broyles; and three great grandchildren, Austin, Alex, and Ava. Dorothy worked as a New Mexico Human Services Income Support Worker for twenty years. Dorothy was appointed by Governor Bruce King to the Commission of Human Rights where she served for five years. During retirement Dorothy made quilts for teenage mothers and their babies and spent time with her family and friends. The family of Dorothy would like to thank the following for providing such good and loving care to her during her time of illness; Sandia Springs Assisted Living and the Vista Care Hospice Program. Dorothy loved the ocean and has requested that her family distribute her remains over the waters of Florida. A service and gathering will be held on Friday, July 18, 2008 from 6 to 8 p.m., at the home of Cindy and Jeff Thompson; 2044 Calle Pajaro Azul NW, Albuquerque, NM.
