Greg Sais, 85, passed away on Friday, June 20, 2008. He was a life long resident of New Mexico. Greg was born May 15, 1923 in Casa Colorada, NM, to Rafael and Louisa Sais. He is survived by his children David Sais and his wife Terri of Cheyenne, WY; Barbara Sais Mares and her husband Dr. Frank Mares, Dolores Sais Miera and her husband Joe, all of Albuquerque, NM; six grandchildren, Annette Sais-Suloff, and her husband Jeff of Laramie, Wyoming; Cristina Mares, Andrea Mares, Arianna Miera, Michael Greg Miera, and Raquel Miera all of Albuquerque, NM; one great-grandson, Colin Suloff; and three sisters, Emily Perea, Mary Chavez, Ana Lewis; one sister-in-law; Clara White; numerous nieces and nephews; and a loyal and faithful companion; Lola, his Lhasa Apso. Greg was preceded in death by his wife Mary of 57 years, in 2004. He was a veteran of WWII in the Army Aircorp, and long time member of Risen Savior Catholic Community Church, a fisherman, and loved crossword puzzles, and an avid reader and involved in politics. Visitation, Wednesday, June 25, 2008, 5-7 p.m., in the chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services, on Wyoming, Rosary will be recited following the visitation. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, June 26, 2008, 10:00 a.m., at Risen Savior with Burial to follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:30 pm with honors. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to UNMH-Neuro Science Center 277-4503. Services are entrusted to Daniels Family Funeral Services.
