Verena Bastian, 90, beloved wife and faithful partner of George M. Bastian in serving the Lord, was welcomed by her life's mate into Heaven on Tuesday, June 3, 2008. Verena is survived by their three chilren, Tommy Bastian of Dallas, TX; Harry Bastian of Albuquerque; and Maralyce Eubanks of Spartanburg, SC; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. In addition to educating school children in both Texas and Arizona, Verena taught the "Great Commission" in Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, Germany and Japan for over 60 years. In lieu of flowers, the family requests the contributions be made to the New Mexico Baptist Foundation-New Church Fund, PO Box 16550, Albuquerque, NM.
