Michael Ruben Velasquez, age 42, of Albuquerque, departed from this life Friday, June 13, 2008. Mike was a good husband, a wonderful brother and son, and a fabulous father and uncle. He graduated from Valley High School in 1984, where he was the states only undefeated varsity tennis player. Since then, he dedicated his life to his wife, son, family, and teaching others to play tennis. Mike is survived by his wife, Susie Velasquez; son, John Paul Jacobo; mother, Minerva Velasquez; sister, Lauren Velasquez; brother, Jeffrey Velasquez; nephews and nieces, Anthony, Esperanza and Athena Velasquez, Sophia and Joshua Donlevy.
