Mary Elizabeth Harris Ryan died in Albuquerque, NM, on April 12. Her husband, James J. Ryan, preceded her in death. She is survived by her son, Robert J. Ryan and wife, Diane; two grandchildren, Casey and Preston Ryan all of Chandler, AZ; a brother, Charles O. Harris, of Bristol, TN, sisters, Luella Morgan of McLean, VA, and Mildred "Tobe" Hilton, of Austin, TX and several nieces and nephews. A native of Southwest Virginia, Mrs. Ryan received her education in Abingdon, VA, Longwood College, Farmville, VA, and received a degree from Virginia Intermont College, Bristol, VA. She was retired from Sandia Corporation of Albuquerque and was active for several years in the Albuquerque Republican Women's Club. A Memorial Service will be held in Albuquerque on Saturday, June 7 at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services, 7601 Wyoming Blvd NE, Albuquerque, and her ashes will be interred with her husband, who is buried in the National Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM.
