Michael Kessler, 45, of Corona, NM passed away Thursday, May 29, 2008 in Alamogordo, NM. Michael was born December 14, 1962 in Vaughn, NM to Bill and Jeanne Marie (Babb) Kessler and grew up in the Albuquerque/Edgewood area. Michael graduated from Moriarty High School in 1980. He met his ex-wife Renee Kessler in Ft. Sumner, NM and later they married in 1982, they moved to Corona, NM and lived there for approximately 20 years. Michael became a Hot Shot for the Mountainair Ranger District. He began moving up the ladder, moving to Tijeras and Grants and then transferred to the National Park Service in Grants and also Georgia. Michael moved to Alamogordo two years ago and ran his small engine and repair shop from his home there. Michael was preceded in death by his mother Jeanne Marie Kessler. He is survived by his father, Bill Kessler; daughters, Julie and husband Keith Fike of Rio Rancho, NM; April and husband Cesar Arrellanes of Corona, NM; and Amy Kessler of Hobbs, NM; brothers, Billy Kessler; Jim Kessler and wife Molly; sister Kim Padilla; uncle and aunt, Bob and Zola Kessler of Kansas; aunts, Carol McConnell and Betty Lewis; uncle Charlie Babb and wife Robin; five grandchildren; Ronnie, KJ, Katie, Jessica and Emily; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; ex-wife Renee and former companion Marian McAdams. A graveside service will be held Monday, June 2, 2008 at the Corona Cemetery in Corona, NM at 11:00 AM. Pastor Barney Cabajal will be officiating. Pallbearers will be Keith Fike, Cesar Arrellanes, Jeremy Neff, Jim Kessler, Billy Kessler, and Dion Koen.
