Barbara A. Hoeke, beloved wife for 56 years of Fredrick E. Hoeke, Jr. went home to her Lord Friday, May 9, 2008. She was born August 12, 1931 in the Queen of Angels Hospital, LA, CA to her deceased parents Kenneth and Geneva Brewster. She spent her early years in Hollywood, CA and later on the family moved to Burbank, CA. She is survived by her brother Richard E. Brewster who resides in Burbank, CA; her children Fredrick E. Hoeke, III who lives in Los Lunas, NM, her daughter Lisa M. Hamlin who resides in Castaic, CA and Kurt M. Hoeke who lives in Basalt, CO; granddaughter Kendra Hoeke also of Basalt, CO. She attended LA City College and was later on employed at the Lockheed Aircraft Co. in Burbank and worked in the technology distribution center that supplied the engineering staff with requested design information. Barbara met her future husband in 1950 while employed at Lockheed. They were subsequently married on June 22, 1952 in Las Vegas, NV. She resided in Albuquerque, NM with her husband and children since February 1972. She died of a long standing illness. Her Memorial Service will be conducted on Friday, May 16, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Faith in Christ Lutheran Church, 1750 Faith Ct, NE. Interment will be later at the Glen Haven Cemetery, Sylmar, Angeles National Forest, CA.
