Obituary for WALTERS

Robert Carlton Walters, 82, a longtime resident of Albuquerque passed away Saturday, April 26, 2008 in his home. He is survived by his wife, Billie Walters; children, Leigh Walters, Kurt Walters and partner, Janice Sebesta, Stella Krauss and husband, Rick of Albuquerque, Toby Walters and wife, Alison of Los Alamos; extended family Rosie Walters of Albuquerque; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Robert was a noted artist and architect. His abstract expressionistic paintings and sculpture reside in national and international collections as well as the Museum of Modern Art in New York. He worked in the private sector as an architect and publicly as a teacher retiring as Professor Emeritus from the School of Architecture at the University of New Mexico. His passion and love for art kept him in his studio daily. Robert is deeply loved and will be greatly missed. A private Celebration of his inspirational life will be held at a later date.
