Obituary for WILLIAMS

CECIL L. "Bill" Williams, age 82, of Santa Fe, New Mexico, and recently of Edmond, Oklahoma passed away Monday, April 14, 2008 at the Oklahoma Heart Hospital due to complications from pulmonary fibrosis. Bill was preceded in death by his former wife, Kathleen Swinford Williams; his parents, Herbert A. and Lela Williams; sister, Mildred Carr; and brothers: Kenneth, Edgar, and Ralph Williams. Bill was born October 28, 1925 in Dresden, MO to parents Lela and Herbert A. Williams. Bill is survived by his wife of 35 years, Patt Faulk Williams of Edmond, OK; daughter and son-in-law Judy and Richard Homer of Cedar Crest, NM; son Jeff Williams of Santa Fe, NM; daughter and son-in-law Paige and Sean Holen of Austin, TX; grandchildren, Skye and Tyler Wallace of Austin, TX; sisters, Dora Lee Kilpatrick of West Monroe, LA and Virginia Lightner of Hesperia, CA; brothers, Irvin Williams of Alta Loma, CA, and Gene Williams of Gladstone, MO. Bill served in the U.S. Army during WWII and again during the Korean War. Bill was a sales representative for IBM for 25 years. He accomplished the unique distinction of achieving the IBM 100% Club every year of his distinguished career. He was also a member of the coveted IBM Golden Circle Club, awarded to the top 7% of the IBM's national sales force 17 times. A Memorial Service will be conducted Wednesday, May 7, 2008, 10:00 a.m. at Berardinelli Family Chapel. Inurnment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donation can be made to the New Mexico Girls Ranch, 28348 US Highway 285, Lamy, NM 87540.
