Vivian Kent, 64, passed from this world into eternal life on April 30, 2008. She was born January 10, 1944 in Belen, NM to Flora and Ignacio Castillo as the sixth of eleven surviving children. Vivian moved to Albuquerque when she was 18. She married, had three children and later began her career at UNM. Vivian retired from UNM's Biology Department in 2006 and enjoyed a year of retirement before becoming ill. She resided at Aspen Care at the time of her death where she was surrounded by those who loved her. Vivian is survived by her son, Michael Kent; daughters, Mary Ann Jorgensen and husband, Mark, Monica Garcia and husband, Mizel; grandchildren, brothers, and sisters, friends, and Aspen Care staff. Visitation will be held at French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE, on Sunday, May 4, 2008 at 4:00 p.m., followed by a Rosary beginning at 5:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, May 5, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at John XXIII Catholic Church, 4831 Tramway Ridge Dr. NE.
