Nancy B. Herrington, 67, passed away on May 1, 2008 after a determined battle against ovarian cancer. She grew up in Ruleville, Mississippi and moved to Albuquerque in the 1960's where she enjoyed the sunshine and big blue sky. Nancy was preceded in death by her beloved dog and companion, Chowder. Nancy will be greatly missed by her son Preston (Gay) Herrington, III, of Farmington, NM, daughter Beth (Steven) Sanchez of Albuquerque, and her two precious granddaughters, Sarah and Rachel of Farmington. Nancy was very thankful to all the physicians, nurses, other medical personnel and Department of Senior Affairs staff who provided excellent compassionate care and services. Per Nancy's request, no memorial services will be held. In keeping with her love for all dogs, the family asks that any donations be made to the Albuquerque Humane Association of New Mexico (255-5523).
