Amelia B. Lucero was born September 20, 1918 in Albuquerque. She went to her home in heaven, Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at the age of 89. Amelia was a member of San Jose de Los Duranes mission to San Felipe de Neri, a member of the Blue Army, the Sacred Heart League, Madres Cristianas and Mayordoma. Amelia was preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Dolores Baca; two brothers; one sister and her beloved husband, Jose C. Lucero. She is survived by her son, Felipe Lucero and wife Dolores; daughter, Dolores Lallie Schumpert and husband Curt; nephew, Chano Baca and wife Grace; granddaughters, Corrine Bandera, Irene Lucero and Sonia Lucero; great granddaughters, April and Terri Lucero and Luna Bandera; great grandsons, Jahdi Bandera, Dylan and Felipito Seniseros; nephews and nieces, Liz, Thomas, Mariah, Ricky Baca and wife Loretta and son, Patrick, Debra and Clarence, Trystan Baca and numerous other family members and friends who loved and will miss her dearly. Services will be held at San Jose de Duranes Mission, 2110 Los Luceros Rd. NW. A Rosary will be recited on Friday, May 2, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 3, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
