Tony A. Gurule, 72, was called home to his reward on Monday, April 21, 2008. Tony was born in Corrales, New Mexico on July 13, 1935, to Abenicio and Eutemia Gurule. He was a charter bus driver for Sanchez Southwest for many years. He was a wonderful father to his children and their spouses, Mary and Patrick Blanks, Margie and Anthony Gurule, Liz and Manuel Hernandez, and Rick and Diane Grijalva. He was preceded in death by Christopher and Mario Gurule. He is also survived by his loving wife, Mary H. Gurule, of 40 years. He is also survived by his loving brothers and sisters, Josephine Stevens, Rosalie Baca, Mary Griego Gurule, and Manuel Gurule and preceded in death by his brother, Alfredo Rael. Tony has 16 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Visitation will take place at Daniel's Funeral Home on 4th St and Alameda from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 24, 2008. A Celebration of Tony's life will follow. A Mass will be held Friday, April 25, 2008, at 9:00 a.m. at the Nativity of the Blessed Birgin Mary with Burial to follow at San Carlos Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made at any Bank of America in his name. Special thanks to Lovelace Hospice and everyone who helped make this time of grieving a little easier for Tony's family.
