Thomas Edward Carner, beloved father of Aspen Carner, passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2008, after prolonged illness. He died at New York Presbyterian Hospital. Tom is survived by his daughter; his sisters, Cathy, Nina, and Theresa; and many nieces and nephews. Tom was born in Sendai, Japan and raised in Manhattan, New York. He was a lover of the arts and fine food and was a gifted cook. He liked basketball and tennis, and enjoyed antiquing and "a good deal". Proud of his Japanese heritage, Uncle Tommy loved his family. Above all, he was warm-hearted, kind, and wonderful. He was laid to rest on Saturday April 12, 2008, in the Bronx, New York. A Memorial Service will be held in Albuquerque, New Mexico on Saturday, April 19, 2008, 11:00 am, at French Mortuary 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109.
