Tony J. Olona, 81 of Las Cruces, NM died April 14, 2008 at Memorial Medical Center. He was born October 14, 1926 in Puerto De Luna, New Mexico to Antonio and Juanita Olona. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Judy; five sons, Tony Olona, Greg Olona, Pat Olona, Philip Olona, and Richard Olona; five daughters, Diana Olona, Susan Warner, Nancy Olona, Karen Broderick, and Janet Olona Also surviving are one brother, Joe Olona; three sisters, Sophie Davalos, Polly Ballinger, Lucy Lopez; 23 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Tony was preceded in death by his parents, Antonio and Juanita; a brother, Gabe Olona, and a sister, Dolores Gonzales. Visitation will be from 5:00 to7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 17, 2008, at Getz Funeral Home Chapel where the Prayer Vigil will follow at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be at 2 p.m. on Friday April 18, 2008, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Cathedral, 1240 S. Espina, with the Rite of Committal and burial to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Officiating will be Fr. Don Adamski.
