Bernard O. Ellis Sr. "Boe" will be spending his 83rd birthday today in heaven. He went to meet his savior March 10, 2008, after a fatal car accident in Longmont, CO. Boe was born April 13, 1925, in Brookport, Il. He was a resident of Albuquerque for 57 years. Boe retired from Sandia Labs after 33 years service as a security guard. He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Dolores; one daughter, Deborah "Starr" Dumas and husband, Richard; one son, Bernard O Ellis Jr. and wife, Markie; four grandchildren, Bryan Ellis and wife, Dava, Tomas Ellis and wife, Melissa, Nathan Dumas and wife, Debra, and Candice Danique Dumas; six great-grandchildren, Miranda, Dana, Devin, Bailey, and Ethan Ellis, and Sophie Grace Dumas; one sister, Juanita Jo Brackett; one brother, Norman Ellis and wife, Naomi. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Damion Ellis Dumas, October 14, 2007; his parents, Mary and Cecil Ellis; two sisters, Faye Benson and Ann Yearout; one brother, Morris Ellis. Burial took place in Boe's hometown, Brook-port, Ill. Boe says, "See you someday at my new address, Lord I'm coming home!!!"
