Obituary for MCGRATH

Dora K. McGrath, 97, of Albuquerque, NM, and an avid Lobo's fan, passed away Monday, March 31, 2008. She was born and raised in Vernon Center, MN. She moved to Albuquerque in the 1950's with her sister, Mary (deceased). Dora had many fond memories of growing up in Vernon Center with her sister, Mary, and brothers, Charles and Edwin. She took great pride and interest in her family's history as described in her genealogy writing. She had a voice for music, a gift for writing, a sense of humor, and timing for one-liners. Dora served with the Red Cross hospitals in England and the Philippines during WWII and attended the Aquinas Newman Center faithfully. She is survived by her niece, Betsy Linsert, of VA; nephews, Charles Kraus of GA and David Kraus of MN; and numerous great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Charles and Edwin Kraus; and sister, Mary Kraus. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be on Monday, April 14, 2008, at 10:00 a.m. at the Aquinas Newman Center, 1815 Las Lomas NE, Albuquerque, NM. Interment will be at St. Mathews Cemetery in Vernon Center, Minnesota at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made to the Red Cross.
