Dolores Gillis, 80, of Amarillo, died Monday, March 31, 2008. Services will be held at a later date at the Arlington National Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Dolores May Anthony was born on May 1, 1927, in East Liverpool, Ohio to Harley and Martha Anthony. She married George Gillis on December 20, 1947. She and her husband lived in Albuquerque after his retirement from the U.S. AirForce. He preceded her in death on June 24, 1985. She had been a resident of Amarillo since 2004. She is survived by two sons, Greg Gillis of Hayward, Ca. and Bruce Gillis of Pampa; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
