Myrna Louise Walla, beloved sister, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother died on March 20, 2008, at the age of 71 after a brief illness. Myrna is survived by her brother, Ken Langston and sisters, Shirley Lindsey and Yvonne Timblin. Myrna is also survived by her son Mike and wife, Amy Walla; son, Jeff and wife, Missy Walla; daughter, Lisa Walla; her three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Myrna worked at Sandia National Laboratories for thirty-seven years before her retirement in 2002. Myrna was born and raised in western Nebraska where she grew to love gardening and family. She enjoyed these in retirement and will be dearly missed by her loved ones. Cremation has taken place and while no public services will be held memorial donations can be made in her name to the Big Brothers & Big Sisters Inc. at 5400 Phoenix Ave. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110 in lieu of flowers. The family will hold private services at a later date.
