Robert Samuel Reese was born on July 28, 1954 in Big Spring, TX to Ralph and Lessie Reece Sr. As a young boy, Robert relocated to Albuquerque, NM in 1958 with his family. Robert was a member of the Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church in Albuquerque, NM. Robert's greatest joy was his grandchildren. He also became a surrogate parent to Ja'Micheel and Charelle when they were in need of care. Robert also loved music, traveling, and landscaping. He loved the latter so much that he started his own landscaping company. Preceding him in death was his mother, Lessie M. Hunt. Robert leaves to cherish his memories, a son Eric Reece and his wife Taii, and their three daughters; his father, Ralph Reece Sr. and stepmother Fay; his siblings, Etta F. Cherry of Albuquerque, NM, Timothy L. Reece of Northridge, CA, Frederick R. Reece of Vancouver, WA, Patricia A. Hall, Hershall R. Reece, Marsha Way-Reece, Michael Way-Reece, all of Albuquerque, NM, Allen H. Reece of Olympia, WA and Morris A. Way of Albuquerque, NM; his aunts, Addie Oliver of Big Springs, TX, and Dorothy Riley of Albuquerque, NM; his uncle, D.J. Hunt of Midland, TX; his companion, Trudy Mason, her children Matthew and Marquita Mason; his ex-wife, Helene Reese, with whom he remained close friends; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great nephews, and close friends. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 29, 2008 at Daniels Family Funeral Services, Palm Chapel, 1100 Coal SE, with burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
