Obituary for FROST

Elizabeth Lee Frost, 83, died on Monday, March 17, 2008 of cancer. Born in Bayfield, CO to Austin P. Frost and Mary Ann McCain Frost, she was the 3rd of seven children. She spent part of her childhood in Dulce, NM where her father worked for the Indian service. She attended high school in Durango, CO prior to graduating from Albuquerque High School in 1942. She retired from Sandia National Laboratory in 1992 with more than 41 yrs of service. Elizabeth and her sister Margaret were the original crew members of the Galles Balloon Team and were the biggest fans of the Balloon Fiesta. Elizabeth was an avid genealogist and was the past President of The Albuquerque Genealogical Society. She survived cancer surgery twice in the last 10 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Austin Frost and Phillip Frost and sister Margaret Del Valle. She is survived by her sister, Mary Kathryn Craig of Durango, CO; brothers, Gerald Frost and Lloyd Frost of Albuquerque and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held on Friday, March 28, 2008, 10:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel.
