Obituary for DALEIDEN

Lawrence L. Daleiden (Lt. Col. USAF Ret.), 93, of Albuquerque passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2008. He was born July 4, 1914 in Milwaukee, WI to the late Nicolas and Elizabeth Daleiden. He was a graduate of both Marquette High School and University. He retired from U.S. West as the Right of Way President after 42 years of service. Lt. Col. Daleiden was a proud member of American Legion Post 49 and also the Pioneers Association, Highland Senior Center and was active in the Senior Olympics. He was preceded in death by his wife of over 40 years, Jean Roddy Daleiden, in 1982 and by an infant daughter, Mary Daleiden. Lt. Col. Daleiden is survived by three daughters, Dawn Bromberg, Garland, TX; Ann M. Denneau and her husband, Arthur Randall Denneau, Milwaukee, WI; and Elizabeth E. Dame and her husband, John A. Dame, Albuquerque; eight grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren. Also left behind was his faithful companion of many years, Meta Cox of Albuquerque. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, 2008 at French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE. Viewing and visitation will be Tuesday from 4:30 p.m. until time of the Rosary. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, Lomas at Tennessee NE with Father Michael Cimino as celebrant. Graveside Services with full military honors will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at Santa Fe National Cemetery, 501 N. Guadalupe St., in Santa Fe.
