Melissa (Lisa) Laswell, 38, a life-long resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2008. She was born on February 9, 1970 to William (Bill) Laswell and Betty Jennings and is survived by her children, Trent Laswell and Brandy Bennett; stepfather, Boyd Jennings; stepmother, Lucy Newton; sister, Lori Buckner and husband, Robert and their children, Erika and Kimberly; brother, CW Laswell and wife, Janet and their children, Franchesco, Ryan, Alexandria, and Hannity; grandparents, Bill and Blanche Laswell and grandmother, Frances Fletcher; uncle, John Fletcher; and aunt, Beverly Fletcher; and longtime companion, Pablo Bennett; as well as numerous other family members and friends. Memorial Services will be held Friday, March 7, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Chapel on 4001 Osuna NE. Family and friends will also be gathering at Lisa's grandmothers on Saturday, March 8, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family has set up a fund in the names of Lisa's children, Trent Laswell and Brandy Bennett; donations can be made at any Bank of the West location in Albuquerque.
