Castella "Cassie" M. Smith, 82, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, passed away Sunday, March 2, 2008 after a short battle with cancer. She is survived by her children, John Talbot and wife, Mary, Loyd Talbot and wife, Lynn, Douglas Talbot and wife, Sherry, Kenneth Talbot and wife, Sherri, and Patsy Jones and husband, Dennis; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Peggy Watts and Clyrice Leisure; and brother, Earl Jones. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husbands, Jack Talbot and Hubert Smith and her two sisters, Corine Crow and Phyllis Brandon. Cassie was a longtime member of Mountain View Baptist Church where she was very active. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. Graveside services will be held Thursday, March 6, 2008, 10:00 a.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery, followed by a Memorial service at Mountain View Baptist Church, 5500 2nd Street SW, at 12:30 p.m. Friends and family may visit French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, Wednesday, March 5, 2008, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Cassie's honor to Presbyterian Kaseman Hospice Inpatient Unit, P.O.
