Leandro Joe Saiz, Sr., age 63, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, went to be with the Lord Sunday, March 2, 2008, after suffering many illnesses. He was born in Duran, NM, and was a resident of Albuquerque. Leandro proudly served his country in the United States Army, during the Vietnam War. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bennie and Carmen Saiz; sisters, Grace Saiz, Genevive Baragan; and a nephew, Armando. Leandro shared his life with is loving wife of 39 years, Ignacia D. Saiz; his children, Patty Jaramillo, Angella Maya, Rose Parrett, Leandro Saiz Jr., Jimmy Chavez Jr. and wife Frieda; his precious grandchildren, Mark Jaramillo, Rosanna Garcia, Michael Jaramillo, Amanda, Frankie Abel, Andrew Maya, Jazmine, Donae Parrett, Leandra Saiz, Daniel Sloan, Matthew, Domonick Archuleta, Gabrielle, Estevan, and Gracie Chavez; and one very special great-grand-baby, Selena Rose Jaramillo; and numerous beloved relatives and friends. Leandro will be greatly missed by all. Visitations will be Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Daniels Family Funeral Services - Alameda Mortuary. A Rosary will be recited Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church. Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. also at the Church. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. Serving as Casket Bearers will be grandsons, Mark, Michael Jaramillo, Frankie Abel, Andrew Maya, Daniel Sloan, Domonick, Matthew Archuleta, Estevan Chavez; and Godson Leo Montoya.
