James Fredric "Jim" Rocco, age 77, of Albuquerque, went to Heaven Sunday, March 2, 2008. One of six children, Jim was born and raised in Gallup. Upon graduation from Gallup High School, Jim served in the US Navy in the Korean War. After the war, he married the love of his life, Marian. He went on to receive his BA in Accounting from the University of Albuquerque. Jim retired from the US Forest Service and the Soil Conservation Service after 35 years of service. Jim was a kind, loving, honest and gentle man who was greatly devoted to his family. He is survived by Marian, his wife of 53 years; sons, Jim Rocco and Michael Rocco and his wife, Beth; daughter, Annie Rocco; grandchildren, Brian, Aubrie, Daniel and Janessa; brother, Gino Rocco; sister, Eleanor Robinson. A memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday, March 8, 2008 at 2:00 p.m., at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, 5712 Paradise Blvd. NW, Albuquerque, NM 87114.
