Shirley Plante, age 75, of Ponderosa, NM, went home to be with the Lord while in her husband's arms on Sunday, February 24, 2008. Shirley was devoted to her family, caring for their every need. She also loved her pets. Shirley is survived by her husband, George Plante; son, Bill West and wife, Denise; daughter, Ann Barnes and husband, David; five step-children; 14 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Thursday, February 28, at 10:00 a.m., at French Mortuary Westside Chapel.
