Patricia Shaffer-Pickens, 76, born and raised in Socorro, NM and resident of Albuquerque, died Friday, February 22, 2008. Ms. Shaffer was preceded in death by her beloved husband and soul mate, Edward D. Shaffer. She is survived by her daughters; Connie J. Ryan and Barbara B. Rush, both of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Amanda J. Rush, Jeremy R. Rush and wife, Leah, all of Albuquerque; great-grandchildren, Gracyn, Noah, and Isaac Rush, all of Albuquerque; her brother, Conrad Pickens of TX; nieces and nephews, William Pickens and wife, Katherine, of VT, Margaret McGoff and husband, Tom, of VT, Kelly DeVan and husband, Paul, of CT, Mitchell Pickens and wife, Sandy, of CA, Anne Arnet and husband, Jerry, of CA, Mark Pickens of TX, Robin Byrne and husband, Mike, of CA, Karen Hatch and husband, Joseph, of VT and Holly Pickens of ME. Celebration of Life Services will be held Thursday, February 28, 2008 10:00 a.m. at Desert Springs Church, 705 Osuna, NE, with Pastor Barry Lawrence officiating.
